Bison Development was formed based on a passion to create beautiful, inspiring, architecturally significant residences throughout the Southeast. We have developed a methodical approach to deliver excellence and innovative features to our clients.
We extensively research environmentally sustainable practices that originate from Europe and abroad. Our deep and variegated construction experience originates from German, Italian, and Spanish innovations. Through the used of extensive, energy efficient glazing systems, our residences blur the lines between indoor and outdoor spaces.
We hand select finishes from abroad that are not available locally. Our international supplier network allows us to deliver finishes that cannot be sourced locally, allowing us to create a completely exclusive residence to the clients we serve.
Bison emphasizes a collaborative approach to our projects, coordinating the quintessential trifecta of a team; Builder, Architect, and Interior Designer.
Our distinctive 3D previsualization process enable the clients to explore their home virtually before construction begins.

The Firm
Kevin Mangum’s passion for architecture and design started with frequent trips to Germany visiting family. His training started in the family business of construction equipment dealerships in the Carolinas, with an apprenticeship in Los Angeles. He continues to spend extensive amounts of time overseas visiting construction sites and trade partners. Fluent in several languages, he listens, he learns, and he brings that knowledge home.
