824 Stradella presented a unique opportunity on a narrow lot with privacy requirements along a road. Taking elements of what we’ve seen in Los Angeles, Melbourne Australia, and Marbella Spain, we decided upon a plan that accomplishes both privacy with wide open spaces.
The front exterior presents a minimalist, monolithic facade that is divided into two planes. In the middle, there is a private entrance courtyard that opens up to the inside of the home, presenting an atrium like courtyard with natural light and expanses of glass.
